Visit the “New” Maxwell Street Market

The Maxwell Street Market is a Chicago tradition of bargains and bargaining with an international flavor. The market offers an eclectic mix of merchandise—from tools to tires, plus fresh produce, furniture, clothing, rare finds and collectibles—and some of the best Mexican and Latin street food in Chicago. Open to the pubic free of charge every Sunday, 7 am-3 pm!

The “New” Maxwell Street Market operates on Desplaines Avenue, bordering the east side of the Dan Ryan Expressway north of Roosevelt Rd.  For the next several months (due to construction), the Maxwell Street Market will take place on Desplaines Avenue between Polk and Taylor Streets.

REMINDER: There’s limited FREE parking on Desplaines Avenue from Harrison Street south to Polk Street, and on Desplaines Avenue from Taylor Street south to Roosevelt Rd.
