In the fall of 2016, a graduate studio in the Master of Architecture program with an emphasis in Interior Architecture at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago collaborated with the Maxwell Street Foundation to investigate Chicago’s broader contemporary urban condition by examining the microcosm of the New Maxwell Street Market in its urban form, and exploring possible future forms compatible with an evolving global society.
