“Cheat You Fair Wholesale & Retail Custom Printed T-Shirts” at 1327-1333 S. Halsted, at the southeast corner of Maxwell and Halsted, at the epicenter of the Maxwell Street Market in Chicago. The Market had long been home to handprinted signs and clever store or stand names, and the slogan “Cheat You Fair” referred to the practice of haggling for prices, with a friendly nod to the dance between buyer and seller to get the better of each other.
