Exhibit of Photographs at the Harold Washington Library Center

An exhibition of the Maxwell Street Foundation Collection, a curated collection of photographs from the Maxwell Street Market by prominent photographers, concluded its display at the Harold Washington Library Center in Chicago at 400 S. State Street in Chicago on June 30. The exhibition featured work by photographers Tom Arndt, Patty Carroll, Ron Gordon, James Iska, Jack Jaffe, Kenneth Josephson, Nathan Lerner, Tom Palazzolo, Marc PoKempner, Bob Thall, and Jay Wolke. Gallery Talks were presented on opening day Friday, June 1 and on each Wednesday in June, and spanned the Chicago Blues Festival weekend! A sign-in book captured great comments from visitors such as, “I am still spellbound after seeing the exhibit at HWLC …” The Collection portfolio is available for viewing and purchase on the “Support Us” tab which will take you to the Maxwell Street Foundation’s “website store”, via the SHOP button.
